a definition

innovation is the ability ot come up with something new that somehow facilitates a task or endeavor but that is not so disruptive and different that it does not allow for adoption. so the printing press in 1440 was an innovation a type writer would have been disruptive and out of place.

it is not all that is meant by innovation. sometimes it also means that creating a tricky or somewhat destructive way out for those who want an escape from legal rules.
